I worked with Susan to refine my audience, which we had drafted as customer personas. I was stuck because I felt I should have conventional demographics - like age, gender, and profession - defined in my personas. Susan helped me to see that these demographics don't matter for my specific service vision and my tribe: what is most important for my service is what is happening in that tribe member's life. This was transformational for me in understanding my tribe and its individual members' needs.
